Brad Dassey Biography

Brad Dassey is a man of many talents. Other than a recording artist, Brad Dassey is also a voice over actor, photographer, former radio show host amongst other talents. Anything that involves creativity is Brad's forte'.

As a child, Brad always had the knack for music.  Brad's first learned song was, “When The Saints Go Marching In” on his friend Curt's Casio keyboard at age 6.

Brad first found himself playing the keyboard then stemmed off to the Recorder, Viola and Harmonica, to name a few.  Brad always has the musical talent to just pick up any instrument and sound like he knows what he is doing just by experimenting.

Brad would always tap on desks and material objects around him in school to create various sounds and, “beats.”  The doctors thought he had A.D.H.D. because he couldn’t sit still, but in all reality, Brad was just being creative and jamming out.  Brad was always creating some kind of rhythm or melody.

In Brad Dassey's Grade School years, Brad formed a one man, “Can Band.”  Brad had the opportunity to play in front of his grade school for a talent show, banging and drumming away on an old Folgers coffee can with the help of his best friend, Curt Siebold.

Out of Grade School and in his Jr. High School years, Brad Dassey really took off with the Keyboard and learned how to play hit songs like, “Crocodile Rock,” “La Cucaracha,” and the “007 Theme” to name a few.  Brad was so geared up, he then entered into the school talent show and ROCKED the show in front of the entire school which was well over 1,000 people.  Brad had the crowd really yelling and cheering him on.  It was the most amazing experience in the World to him.

While in Jr. High School, Brad's grandmother Marlene Glysch had taught him more about chords and notes on her double panel organ.  His beloved grandmother used to be a music teacher and one thing she taught him was, most music is learned and played by ear, most musicians don’t and can’t actually read / follow sheet music.  Brad confesses he too is one of those, “Play by Ear” recording artists.

During his High School years, Brad decided to take his music to a bigger level.  Brad gave up the cover songs and decided to compose his very own music.  Brad recorded two Techno / Bass albums during his High School years.  Techno and Bass music was the, “IN” thing during that time-frame in the early 2000's.  Word got around school and before Brad knew it, he was selling CD’s without really even trying.

After High School, Brad found himself doing more of his paid passion as being a DJ on the radio.  Brad was a jock for a roller skating rink in Manitowoc, WI called, "The Rollaire Skate Center" and was an on air radio jock with an AM station, AM 980 WCUB, also based out of Manitowoc.  Brad also volunteered his time for producing commercials for Christian Family Radio A.K.A "The Family."  He then moved on to the bigger FM radio station, 101 WIXX FM and also ran the Green Bay Packer's games behind the scenes on air.

After being a jock and volunteering to do voice over work for select Christian Radio Stations, Brad decided to go into business for him and his family.  While focusing on his inkjet refill business career, music yet again was tugging at his heart and tugging HARD.

The summer of 2008, Brad decided to really look into more music making options.  Brad had purchased his first USB Midi Keyboard and also looked into various software programs and packages at Guitar Center of Appleton, WI.

It wasn't long before Brad eventually gave up the inkjet refill business and worked at various jobs such as AT&T, Plexus, Super Bowl Family Entertainment Center to name a few, while continuing to work on his music as a hobby on the side.

Fast forwarding to today: Brad's music library of virtual instruments is greater than ever and he is really pounding out the tunes on his computer.  Brad currently has hundreds of unfinished songs that he is excited to continue working on with various recording programs and instruments to create likeable sounds and songs that can inspire the World.
